Grape varieties: Sangiovese
Massarapi is the new addition to the Palazzona di Maggio family. It is obtained from organic Sangiovese grapes harvested and selected by hand. Production per plant is regulated starting from winter pruning and then by a careful summer thinning for a final yield of 1,3- 1.5 kg per plant. The manual harvest takes place at the beginning of mid-September with the grapes collected in small crates.
The result is a wine of great complexity, elegant and with freshness.
A modern and elegant Sangiovese suitable for being consumed young but which expresses its best after a few years of refinement in bottles.
Pairings: All types of grilled meat

TERRAIN CHARACTERISTICS
Our Sangiovese vineyards were planted in 2005 and 2006 on an area of
approximately 5 hectares. The soils are medium-textured, mainly clayey with sand and silt.
The grapes come from the podere Quercia and Bosco at 130 - 170 meters above sea level.
The orientation of the rows varies according to the plots with a north-south prevalence.
The favorable microclimate, characterized by a high day-night temperature range even in summer, allows us to obtain high quality grapes and full-bodied wines
characterized by high acidity and therefore freshness.DATA SHEET
